Reliable Cable Percussion Drilling Across the UK
Cable Percussion (CP) Drilling’s one of the most commonly used drilling methods in the UK, suitable for all soil types, including both granular and cohesive formations. It is a reliable and efficient technique for a wide range of ground conditions.
Jackson Drilling can drill using casing diameters of 300mm, 250mm, 200mm, and 150mm, with the ability to carry out various sampling and testing methods, including Standard Penetration Tests (SPTs), U100 sampling, bulk sampling, and disturbed sampling.
Our team has experience drilling in a variety of environments, including greenfield and brownfield sites, industrial settings, domestic properties, airports (both airside and non-airside), overwater locations (jack-ups, spud leg barges, pontoons), and highways and road networks.
All drilling crews are fully trained and competent, holding CSCS cards, while Lead Drillers are qualified to at least NVQ Level 2. In suitable ground conditions, we have successfully drilled to depths of 90m below ground level using this methodology.
In addition to providing expert CP drilling crews, Jackson Drilling supplies all necessary ancillary equipment, including bowsers, water standpipes, installation materials, breakers & power packs, and track mats. We operate a range of rigs, including Dando 2000, Dando 2500, and Dando 3000, which are mobilized to site using 4×4 vehicles towing rigs and trailers for additional casing transport.
This method is also well-suited for drilling through soft materials, allowing casing to remain in place for continued drilling with a rotary rig if required.
