Ros has worked in the industry since completing her MSc in Applied Geology at Cardiff University in 1996. Ros has detailed and specialist knowledge of site investigation and the drilling industry as a whole.

In 2009, Ros became Managing Director, superseding her father, after working for Jackson Drilling for 9 years.

Fred Mann

Operations Director


Fred is one of the most knowledgeable drilling specialists in the country with over 40 years experience of all aspects of the drilling industry both in the UK and abroad.

Fred is committed to site and operational safety and competency, holding the following qualifications; NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling; NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Work Supervision; NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Management; NVQ Level 3 as an NVQ Assessor for the Land Drilling NVQ Level 2 award.

Fred oversees all operations, provides technical assistance and ensures all health and safety standards are adhered to.

Ben Cornish



Since graduating from Cardiff University in 2012 with a BSc (Hons) in Exploration and Resource Geology, Ben has worked as a geologist in remote parts of Australia and as Engineering Geologist on geotechnical sites across the UK.

Ben is responsible for the management of all drilling contracts and drill crews.


John Hunt

Water Treatment Manager


John has over 17 years’ experience as a water engineer providing domestic and commercial clients solutions to their water quality issues including water softeners, low water pressure or flow, borehole and well water treatment, as well as legionella and other water harbouring bacteria.

John is responsible for management of and the day to day running of the water treatment section of the company whilst continuing to have a hands on role servicing and installing on the more technical projects.
