Ros has worked in the industry since completing her MSc in Applied Geology at Cardiff University in 1996. Ros has detailed and specialist knowledge of site investigation and the drilling industry as a whole.

In 2009, Ros became Managing Director, superseding her father, after working for Jackson Drilling for 9 years.

Ben Cornish
Director

Since graduating from Cardiff University in 2012 with a BSc (Hons) in Exploration and Resource Geology, Ben has worked as a geologist in remote parts of Australia and as Engineering Geologist on geotechnical sites across the UK.

Ben joined JD in 2014 and was appointed as a Director in 2019.

Contracts Manager

Ollie comes from a project management background of heating and renewables. Ollie graduated from Plymouth University in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) in Marine Biology.

Ollie is responsible for the day to day management of active projects and drill crews. He is also the office point of contact for all things ISO 9001, 14001 and 18001.

Commercial Manager

Following the completion of a degree in Applied Geology, Dan has amassed over 17 years of experience in the Site Investigation Industry from small sites to large infrastructure projects.

Dan joined Jackson Drilling Holdings Ltd in 2021 to form Jackson Geo Services and to open an operating base in South Wales. Dan is responsible for all aspects of the works for Jackson Geo Services.

Adam Putt
Technical Manager

Adam has worked in the geotechnical and geoseciences sector since 2002 and graduated in 2008 from Cardiff University with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Geoscience. Adam’s experience has given him a vast knowledge base having worked on all sizes of projects from small domestic sites to large infrastructure projects.

Adam is a Chartered Geologist (CGeol), a Chartered Scientist (CSci), a European Geologist (EurGeol), Member of the Institute of Environmental Sciences (MIEnvSc) and a Registered Ground Engineering Professional (RoGEP) (Professional Grade).

Adam joined Jackson Drilling Holdings Ltd in 2021 to form Jackson Geo Services and to open an operating base in South Wales. Adam is responsible for all aspects of the works for Jackson Geo Services, particularly all technical standards and outputs.

Sam Setchell
Senior Engineering Geologist

Sam graduated in 2010 from Southampton University and followed this with an MSc in Geology/Earth Science at the Royal Holloway University of London.

Sam has worked in the Geo-Environmental Industry in both Australia and the UK and is currently working towards Chartership as a Geologist.

Sam originally joined Jackson Drilling in 2020 to assist with current projects, transferring over to Jackson Geo Services upon formation in 2021. Sam is responsible for project management and splits his time between the office and site works.
